IRCIEST Organizers Calls for Papers, Researches
The International Research Conference on Innovations in Engineering, Science and Technology (IRCIEST), BatStateU’s first fully organized and initiated conference, announces the important dates regarding the conference.
The deadline of submission of full paper with structured abstract is on July 15, while the issuance of acceptance to authors of accepted papers is on August 31. On the other hand, the deadline of submission of revised full paper with structures abstract is on September 30. The last day of online registration for presenting and non-presenting participants is on October 31. The conference will be held on November 8-10 at BatStateU Main Campus I.
Submitted research papers for oral or poster presentation shall undergo a blind peer review process by the International Scientific Committee which is composed of a pool of experts around the globe. Selected research papers will be published in our international research journal on engineering, science and technology (IRCIEST).

University has 23 new Chemical Engineers
The University’s Chemical Engineering department has added new laurels to the University’s hat as 23 new chemical engineering alumni passed the May 2015 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination.
BatStateU’s new chemical engineers are:Charrisma A. Acosta, Sheenamay S.Alagar, Kerstin Mae L.Amul, Nathaniel B.Andal,Kristina S.Camsol, Zaila Marie R.Caraan, Jane Christine M.Caringal, Rafael M.Carpio, JanellaMarice G.Cordova, Jayrick V.Cruzat, Roxanne C.Cueto, Shane Ivory P.De Chavez,Angelica D.De Sagun, Excel C.Dimaculangan, Karyn B.Hiwatig, AirraMhae G.Ilagan, AngelizaPiarose C.Lawas, Maricris P.Llanes, Ma Joanne S.Lopez, Charlene Mae I.Magpantay, Precious Pearl D.Ramos, Nina Vanessa A.Sabelita, and Eddylyn Marie C.Torrano.
The University got 81.81% passing rate for the first timer examinees and 76.67% passing rate for all of the Borbonian exam takers. The said ratings are relatively high compared to the national passing rate which is 59.01% (239 passers out of 405 examinees).
Lopez Tops ECE Board Exam
Batangas State University alumnus Engr. Angelo Tirao Lopez was this year’s Top 1 in the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination. With 88.40% rating, Lopez bested 892 passers of the ECE Licensure Examination 2015.
The Professional Regulations Commission announced on April 17 that out of 2,552 takers, only 892 or 34.95% made it to the list of ECE passers. Engr. Lopez of BatStateU and Engr. Rodolfo Catolico Salvador Jr. of AMA Computer University tied on first place for ECE board. Other topnotchers came from University of the Philippines-Diliman, De La Salle University-Manila, Eastern Visayas State University, University of San Carlos, Malayan Colleges Laguna, Mapua Institute of Technology – Manila, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, FEU-Institute of Technology.

BS ECE team bags 3rd place in 11th SWEEP innovations awards
A team of BS ECE students and faculty once again received honors during the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP) Innovations Awards held February 13 at Raffles Hotel, Makati City.
BatStateU’s entry entitled #BAYANIHAN won 3rd in the said competition. #BAYANIHAN is a cloud – based application for the local government units. The team is composed of 4th Year BS ECE Students namely Aldrin Abacan, Donna Rei Punzalan, Elezar Garcia and Ralph Brando Bernabe. Engr. Albertson D. Amante served as the team’s faculty mentor.
The team received plaques and cash prize of Php 100,000.00. An equivalent amount in the form of a grant will be given to the school for the improvement of the system for possible commercialization.
With the theme, “Building Cloud-based Communities”, Smart’s SWEEP Awards continues to provide college students with the platform to develop and create innovative mobile applications that provide solutions to existing consumer pain points using mobile and Cloud technologies.
